What Is Your Weapon Of Choice?

That depends on the situation.

I love my bow because I can take someone down from a good distance. It is my preferred weapon for the most part. It can help to take down an enemy before they even know I'm there.

However, if I must do close fighting and hand to hand combat, then I like my short sword or one of my hatchets.

Either choice gets the job done.

I see that you are not the sort of maiden who would meekly call my name, armed with no weapons save her soft eyes and softer skin. But then, that sort of maiden is best left to the same fairy-tales told by those who have never seen a real unicorn (or a real maiden, I should think).

I have heard of Unicorns, but where I am from, no one I know has seen them. I think because the evil armies from Rome and the Saxons have caused them to have to hide far away from the eyes of men. Because of that danger, they are not seen, which may be why I was never taught to call on such a beautiful creature for help.

Yours would not be the first land besieged by such evil that a unicorn dares not show herself, not even to the purest of heart. But I learned long ago that we cannot always hope to evade the eyes of men, no more than we can forever hide from the evil which drives them.

Your heart is not pure, at least not in the sense that it remains free from the knowledge of ruination and sorrow. Yet it is a valiant heart, full of courage and great hope for the future, despite all the dark deeds you have witnessed.
